Description
Comprising Greatmead Copse only, the vegetation type is W8 Fraxinus excelsior - Acer campestre – Mercurialis perennis woodland (Hall et. al. 2004). There is a diverse and variable ground flora, the understory is often well-developed with frequent Corylus avellana, the canopy is dominated by Fraxinus excelsior and Acer campestre (except under power line), Quercus sp. is also common.
