Description

Area under a power line cut 2-3 years ago, essentially early rotation coppice, more open than any other sample set. Ruderal species frequent including Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica), Marsh Thistle (Cirsium palustre) and Bramble (Rubus fruticosus agg.), Enchanter's Nightshade (Circaea lutetiana) also frequent. Understory dense regrowth of coppiced trees and shrubs primarily Guelder Rose (Viburnum opulus) and Hazel (Corylus avellana), canopy absent.
